Nia

My avocation is teaching Nia, a wellness practice of group movement. Before Nia, I would work out by myself to stay in shape. When I went to my first Nia class, I realized that exercise could be fun and soon found that I always looked forward to moving with a friendly Nia community. I liked it so much that I became a Certified Nia Teacher to promote whole-body wellness. Come join me at a Nia class and learn that through movement we find health.

What Nia classes are like:

Classes are danced barefoot to customized music that blends vocals, instrumentation, and sound. Every class offers a unique combination of 52 moves that correspond with the main areas of the body: the base, the core and the upper extremities. From powerful kicks, blocks, and punches to turns, balancing poses and grounded stances, Nia choreography provides total body conditioning. It fine-tunes coordination while emphasizing self-expression, personalization, and creativity.

Nia Technique is a sensory-based, cardiovascular movement practice that draws from dance, martial arts, and the healing arts, including yoga. A body-mind-spirit practice by design, Nia empowers people of all backgrounds and fitness levels by connecting them with the voice of the body sensation.

Resolve to be healed, whole, and happy.
